Doll Costume Competition
Do you have a Great Idea for an outrageous costume, but you don’t want to spend a fortune or the rest of your life to make it?
Make it in miniature and enter the CC25 doll show!
Costume for any category from wild fantasy to scholarly historical reproduction. Dress a purchased model, human or otherwise, or create your own.
Judging categories will depend on what is entered. Entries will be judged for workmanship and creativity, and there will be a special award for best theme-related doll (Rock and Roll!).
The outline for competitors is this:
- This is an open competition. Judges will give awards at their discretion, and I reserve the option of making a redhat award if a worthy candidate appears.
- Judges and viewers love documentation. It constitutes your doll’s presentation! Title your piece, and printed descriptions or explanations are recommended. Forms will also be provided when you register.
- Bring your entries to the display area on Friday by 5 pm to register and set up. If you won’t be arriving until Saturday, let me know – you can bring them in that morning before 9:30 am.
- A “Meet the Artist” panel is scheduled for Sat morning at 10 am – please try to attend! Any change in venue will be posted at registration.
- Judging will be at noon on Saturday; winners will be announced after the SF & F Masquerade on Saturday.
- Any special needs or questions should be addressed to be BY PHONE – yes, I mean the TELEPHONE, not the COMPUTER. Seriously.
