Rules:

Just as the Iron Chef show takes place in the mysterious “Kitchen Stadium”, where challengers face off against the Iron Chefs from Chairman Kaga’s Gourmet Academy, our Iron Costumer competition will take place in the Stitching Stadium, with the challengers facing off against Iron Costumers from our Chairman’s Couture Academy.

The contest will be between [three] teams of 3 or 4 people, with one team member designated the designer and head costumer.

[Two] team[s] will be the “challenger[s]”; the other will be under direction of an Iron Costumer. At this time we plan to have “Iron Costumer Renaissance”, “Iron Costumer Victorian”, and “Iron Costumer Fantastic”. (Or perhaps “Ancient”, “Industrial”, and “Fantastic”).

The Stitching Stadium will be equipped with an assortment of necessary equipment for constructing costumes — sewing machines, sergers, glue guns, irons, ironing boards, etc. In addition, there will be a large stash of assorted sewing necessities and essential construction ingredients (interfacing, muslin, etc) available to both teams. Competitors can bring in their own finishing items (buttons, etc).

Finally, as the contest commences, the director will announce the “Secret Ingredient” that must be incorporated into their costumes. Teams will have 30 minutes to plan their work, and then 60 minutes for construction. Just as on Iron Chef, during the construction phase our color commentators will be describing the costumers’ progress to the audience.

Finally, our panel of unknown celebrity judges will review the finished costumes and announce the results. (Translation will be providing for audience members who do not speak celebrity).

Some of the possible items on our list of secret ingredients:
* Tissue Lame
* Bubble Wrap
* Ostrich Plumes
* Aluminum Siding
* Burlap
* Ribbon Cable
* Horsehair
* Carpet Runner
* Fiberglass
* Raw Silk
* Star Wars bed sheets
